Rev. Shudo Paula Lazarz, President

Rev. Shudo Paula Lazarz is a 6th degree Black Sash in Shaolin Kung Fu and an ordained priest in the Soto Zen lineage of Shunryu Suzuki. Her over two decades of study in the martial arts and Buddhist practice has been an exploration of the idea of the historical Shaolin Temple, culminating in Warrior’s Path Buddhist Academy.

Paula is a co-owner of Energy Fitness, Inc., Head Instructor at HealthKick Kung Fu and a Practice Leader at Ancient Dragon Zen Gate.

Norman Quinn, Secretary

Norman Quinn is is a professional futures trader. He started Kung Fu at the age of 46 and believes in the power of these practices to promote peak physical health, relief from stressful careers, and camaraderie among a diversity of individuals.

 

Adrienne Ciancetta, Treasurer

Adrienne is a principal at Lakeside Capital Advisors LP, and serves as Lakeside’s Director of Fund Management. She has over 12 years experience in commercial lending and real estate finance and operational roles.

Additionally, she is a part-owner and business partner of Energy Fitness, Inc.

Adrienne Ciancetta, has been practicing Shaolin Kung Fu for the past 14 years. Her passion for the martial arts and desire for people to realize their full potential fueled the creation of Warrior’s Path Buddhist Academy. Her hope is that through the Academy, people will find enlightenment, stability and a sense of community that allows them to achieve their personal and professional goals.

Kevin Rochford, Director

Kevin Rochford is a Managing Director at Bernstein Private Wealth Management.

He brings a wealth of non-profit strategic experience to Warrior’s Path, having served on the boards of the Museum of the City of New York, Lookingglass Theatre, and the Naval War College Foundation, to name a few.

Kevin served as an artillery officer in the U.S. Marine Corps after college and was recalled to duty for the Persian Gulf War.

Jed Babbin, Director

Jed Babbin is a Business Psychologist with 15 years of experience in Human Resources working in leadership development, internal consulting, survey development and people analytics.

He has been practicing Kung Fu with Warrior’s Path for the past 5 years, and previously studied and taught Shuri-Ryu Karate.

Jed believes martial arts can have a profound impact on people’s physical and mental health; instilling confidence, focus, and belonging.
